Kuwait’s Proposal on Cybersecurity Praised by Arab Group at UN

Kuwait City: The Arab Group at the United Nations has lauded Kuwait's proposal focusing on confidence and capacity building in cybersecurity. This proposal was presented during the ninth session of the Open-ended Working Group (OEWG) on security in the use of information and communications technologies (ICTs). According to Kuwait News Agency, Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly arrived in Kuwait with his delegation for an official visit. Meanwhile, South African Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure Dean Macpherson expressed his country's readiness to offer significant privileges to Kuwaiti companies, aiming to explore potential business opportunities. Kuwait also witnessed the second edition of Kuwait Sports Day, organized by the Public Authority for Sports. The event took place on Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway, drawing participation from approximately 21,000 contestants. In Cairo, Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmad Aboul-Gheit emphasized the need for a unified Arab stance to support the Palestinians. Back in Kuwait, athletes Zaid Al-Sulaiteen and Abdulaziz Al-Sulaiteen secured gold medals in their respective categories at the World (Grand Slam) Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Rome. Additionally, the Gulf Veterans Football Championship was officially inaugurated by Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs.
