Kuwait city: Today marks several notable events in Kuwait's history, ranging from sports achievements to significant advancements in healthcare. Among these milestones is Al-Arabi SC's victory in the first Amir Football Cup, where they defeated Qadsia SC with an impressive score of 7-1.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) was established in 1966 to provide aid in crises, aligning with the Geneva Conventions. It proudly became a part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (IRCRC).
In 2010, Kuwait further enriched its cultural tapestry by inaugurating a marine culture museum in the Sharq area, showcasing the country's maritime heritage. The same year, Kuwait excelled in sports by hosting and winning the 9th Arab Shooting Championship, securing a total of 36 medals: 18 gold, 12 silver, and six bronze.
A landmark medical achievement occurred in 2012 when former Minister of Health Mohammad Al-Jarallah performed the region's first reduction holes operation to remove an adjustable gastric band. This procedure was a pioneering effort in Kuwait and the GCC region.

In 2022, the Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) and Saudi Arabian Chevron signed an agreement to export excess gas from the joint Wafra operations, highlighting regional cooperation in energy resources. Additionally, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cabinet announced restrictions on workforce attendance, limiting governmental institutions to 50 percent capacity starting January 12.
