Kuwait’s National Seismic Network Records Series of Earthquakes West of Iran.


Kuwait City: Kuwait’s National Seismic Network at the Institute for Scientific Research recorded a 5.4 magnitude earthquake west of Iran at 7:02 AM, Kuwait time, at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers. The epicenter of the quake was 273 kilometers from Kuwait City, and it was felt by many residents across the country.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the National Seismic Network also recorded two additional earthquakes in the same area following the initial tremor. A 5.2 magnitude earthquake was detected at 7:23 AM, and another measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale occurred at 8:38 AM. These seismic activities have raised concerns among residents and authorities, prompting further monitoring and assessment of potential impacts.

The series of earthquakes west of Iran highlights the region’s seismic activity and the importance of vigilant monitoring by networks such as Kuwait’s National Seismic Network. The Institute for Scientific Research continues to observe the situation closely to provide timely updates
