Kuwait’s Ministry of Finance Expands Digital Transformation Efforts


Kuwait city: Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance, Aseel Al-Munifi, affirmed the ministry’s keenness to expand the implementation of digital transformation systems. This initiative aligns with Kuwait’s broader strategy to modernize its financial infrastructure and improve service delivery.



According to Kuwait News Agency, significant developments have also been observed in Kuwait’s diplomatic and cultural sectors. Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to promoting and protecting human rights, highlighting the nation’s proactive stance in global human rights advocacy.



In New Delhi, Kuwait’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, Ambassador Sameeh Hayat, noted the successful first round of political consultations between Kuwait and Bangladesh. This event underscores the deep-rooted relations and mutual interests shared by the two countries.



Domestically, the Kuwaiti Municipal Council, led by Abdullah Al-Mehri, approved a proposal to replace 591 street names with numbers, marking a significant change in urban planning and management.



The Kuwait Writers Association has also made strides by inaugurating its new cultural season and honoring winners of its inaugural literary award, further supporting the nation’s cultural and literary development.



In international humanitarian efforts, Kuwait’s Namaa Charity inaugurated four artesian wells in Chad, providing clean water to thousands of families and showcasing Kuwait’s commitment to global humanitarian aid.



Sports achievements were also notable as Kuwait’s men’s Padel team triumphed over Indonesia in the first Asia Padel Cup in Doha, and the Kuwait youth handball team secured a convincing victory against Kazakhstan in the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.



In the realm of international relations, a ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan was announced by the Qatari Foreign Ministry, reflecting ongoing regional diplomatic efforts.



Meanwhile, Gaza’s health authorities reported at least 19 Palestinians killed and three injured in Israeli occupation attacks over the last 24 hours, highlighting the ongoing conflict in the region.



In Cairo, a Hamas delegation arrived to discuss the implementation of the Sharm El-Sheikh peace agreement, while Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi announced plans to host an international conference on Gaza reconstruction in November, aiming to address the humanitarian needs arising from the conflict.
