Kuwait’s Historical Milestones Marked by Key Events

Kuwait city: Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah made a significant contribution to Kuwait's governance by promulgating a law that included the constituent statute of the ruling regime, encompassing five chapters and 38 articles. This legal framework has played a crucial role in shaping the nation's political landscape.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the year 1982 saw the passing of Ahmad Al-Bisher Al-Roumi, a prominent historian known for his influential work on proverbs, at the age of 77. In 2001, Kuwait's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah represented the Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at ceremonies marking Kuwait as the Arab Cultural Capital, highlighting its cultural significance in the region.

In 2002, the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross societies honored Yusuf Al-Fulaij and Abdulmohsen Al-Zaben with the humanitarian order for their philanthropic efforts. Six years later, in 2008, Kuwait's Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor established a Human Rights Office to promote and protect human rights within the nation.
