Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister Commends UAE-Kuwait Relations During National Day Celebration.

KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah highlighted the strong ties between Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during a celebration marking the UAE's 53rd national day. He praised the UAE for its supportive stance towards Kuwait, particularly recalling the late UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's firm position against the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990. According to Kuwait News Agency, Sheikh Fahad made these remarks on Monday, expressing his best wishes for the UAE's leaders and citizens. He emphasized the desire for even deeper relations between the two nations to fulfill their mutual aspirations. UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Matar Al-Neyadi also spoke at the event, stating that the two countries share exemplary relations and extensive cooperation across various sectors. He noted that the leaders of both nations are committed to advancing the bilateral relationship towards greater progress and prosperit y. The ambassador highlighted the increased momentum in relations following the visits of Kuwait's His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the UAE last March, and UAE President Mohammad bin Zayed's visit to Kuwait in November.
