Cairo: Kuwait participated in the International Conference to Support and Strengthen Humanitarian Response in Gaza, which commenced on Monday in Cairo. The event saw the involvement of over 100 countries, with Kuwait represented by Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya. According to Kuwait News Agency, the conference was held under the theme "A Year of Humanitarian Catastrophe in Gaza: Urgent Needs and Sustainable Solutions." It featured the participation of UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed, along with ministers and representatives from various regional and international countries, international organizations, and relevant United Nations agencies. This conference is part of Egypt's continuous efforts to support humanitarian responses in the Gaza Strip and address the ongoing catastrophe faced by the Palestinian people. The primary objectives of the conference are to enhance international support for the Gaza Strip, ensure the sustainability of humanitarian responses, mobilize efforts to deliver urge nt aid, and provide the requirements necessary for early recovery in the region. Additionally, the conference aims to discuss the political, security, and humanitarian dimensions of the situation, particularly in light of the Israeli occupation's ban on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
