Kuwait’s Crown Prince Congratulates UNGA President on New Role

Kuwait city: Kuwait's Amir Representative, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, extended his congratulations to Annalena Baerbock, the President of the United Nations General Assembly, for earning the trust of the international community. His Highness wished her success in her new responsibilities. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Crown Prince reaffirmed Kuwait's support for Baerbock's efforts to facilitate coordination among member states and tackle key issues often discussed during General Assembly meetings. His remarks were made during a meeting with Baerbock on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. Baerbock expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Kuwait, its leadership, and its people for their contributions and support for the United Nations and its technical bodies. The meeting also addressed recent developments on regional and international fronts and discussed the role of the United Nations in promoting international peace and security, ensuring stability in the Middle East and beyond, and implementing Sustainable Development Goals. The meeting was attended by Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya; Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs at the Amiri Diwan, Mazen Issa Al-Issa; Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations, Ambassador Tariq Mohammad Al-Bannai; and other members of the official delegation.
