Kuwait’s Assistant Foreign Minister Engages in Human Rights Dialogue with Qatari Official

Kuwait city: Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, the State of Kuwait Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights, held discussions with Maryam Al-Attiyah, Chairperson of Qatar's National Human Rights Commission, focusing on cooperation in the human rights domain. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 26th regular session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)-affiliated permanent committee.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Attiyah is also a member of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the OIC. The dialogue between Sheikha Jawaher and Al-Attiyah was centered on the commission's planned tasks in the foreseeable future, along with strategies for building capacities and securing human rights experts.

The Kuwaiti delegation at the session was led by Sheikha Jawaher and included key officials such as the deputy permanent delegate and adviser at the Kuwaiti mission at the OIC, Turki Al-Daihani, and the Diplomatic Attache at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zainab Al-Mansouri.
