Kuwaiti Swimmer Rashid Al-Tarmoom Sets New Record at Open Swimming Championship

Amman: Kuwaiti swimmer of Qadsiya Sporting Club and the Kuwait national team, Rashid Al-Tarmoom, secured first place in the 50-meter breaststroke race at the Open Swimming Championship held in Jordan. Al-Tarmoom's victory on Saturday marked a significant achievement as he set a new Kuwaiti record with a time of 00:28:21 seconds. The championship, which began yesterday, is set to continue until the 22nd of this month and features participants from various Arab countries. According to Kuwait News Agency, General Manager of Water Games at Qadsiya Club Faisal Abu Al-Hassan commented on Al-Tarmoom's performance, noting that it represents a new accomplishment for Kuwaiti swimming. Al-Hassan expressed optimism for future victories that will elevate Kuwait's standing in international events and emphasized the club's commitment to supporting its athletes in achieving further successes. He also highlighted Al-Tarmoom's recent achievement of winning a silver medal in the 50-meter breaststroke race at the Swiss World O pen Championship, underlining the swimmer's growing reputation on the international stage.
