Kuwait city: Kuwait's national shooting team on Monday won two more medals in the Arab Pistol and Rifle Shooting Championship. The shooters secured two bronze medals in the 50m 3 Position Men and Women events, bringing their total medal count to three, which includes one silver and two bronze.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Head of the Kuwaiti expedition and Secretary General of the Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Federations, Obaid Al-Osaimi, provided details in a telephone contact. He reported that Turki Al-Shemmari, Ali Al-Mutairi, and Khaled Al-Majed achieved third place in the competition with a score of 58.1704 points, while the Omanis claimed the championship title and the Bahrainis won the silver.
The female team members, Maryam Arzouqi, Ritaaj Al-Ziyadi, and Fajr Al-Dhbaib, also secured third place with a score of 41.1659 points. In their category, the Bahrainis were crowned champions, and the Omanis came in second.
The Kuwaiti team had previously achieved a strong result on Sunday by finishing second after facing intense competition against their counterparts from other Arab countries. The Kuwaiti women's trio won the silver in the 10m Air Rifle division.
