Doha: Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Family Affairs and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila toured the exhibition held alongside the Second World Summit on Social Development, which is being hosted in Doha from November 4 to 6.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the minister reviewed the exhibition pavilions that showcased products from productive families and highlighted initiatives and services offered by various government entities in the realm of social development. The event provided a platform for countries to exchange knowledge and strategies in advancing social development goals.
During her visit, Dr. Al-Huwaila also explored the "From Care to Empowerment" pavilion, which was organized by Qatar's Ministry of Social Development and Family. This pavilion documented Qatar's journey in social development since the 1950s, offering insights into the nation's progress and the initiatives undertaken to enhance social welfare.
The summit, which commenced last Tuesday, was also attended by His Highness the Amir's Representative, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, underscoring the importance of international collaboration in addressing social development challenges.
