Kuwait city: Kuwait's Ambassador to Jordan, Hamad Al-Marri, stated that the participation of Kuwaiti visual artists in an international exhibition in Jordan represents a significant Kuwaiti presence on the Arab art scene and reflects the strong relations between Kuwait and Jordan, as well as their shared vision in supporting art as a cultural value.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the ambassador made these remarks following his attendance at the exhibition held in Amman, under the theme "Art, Culture and History of Peoples." The event, now in its fifth edition, was organized by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture and the Dar Association for Culture and Arts, featuring visual artists from Kuwait and several other Arab countries.
Al-Marri highlighted that the exhibition establishes a cultural event that underscores the role of art in fostering human dialogue and cultural communication, transcending geographical and cultural differences. He noted that Jordan has become a cultural hub due to its supportive environment for artistic creativity and active cultural scene, adding that Amman's hosting of such exhibitions underscores its status as a center for Arab intellectuals and artists.
Kuwaiti artist and head of the delegation, Fadila Ayada, shared her experience at the exhibition, where she presented an artwork inspired by the symbol of Arab hospitality, the "dallah" (coffee pot), using gold leaf to convey cultural significance. Ayada expressed her joy at being part of this group of artists, stating that the exhibition offers a platform for artistic exchange and collaboration, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and dialogue between Arab and international artists.
