Manama: Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa affirmed on Sunday the deeply rooted and fraternal historical ties that bind the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, ties that are growing stronger and more distinguished thanks to the mutual commitment to enhancing and consolidating them.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the remarks came during the King's reception of Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, who was visiting the Kingdom.
The King praised the close cooperation and joint efforts, particularly in the media, cultural, and youth sectors, which are witnessing growth and development to achieve what is best for both countries and their brotherly peoples.
The King also commended the significant role played by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in supporting and strengthening Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations in all fields.
The agency added that Minister Al-Mutairi conveyed to the King of Bahrain the greetings and appreciation on behalf of His Highness Amir, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Bahrain.
The King of Bahrain, in turn, commended him with conveying his greetings and sincere wishes to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait for continued health and happiness, and for further development and prosperity for the State of Kuwait and its people.
The minister expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Bahraini King for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, and his deep appreciation for His Majesty's role and efforts in strengthening relations.
