Kuwaiti and Tunisian Officials Discuss Cooperation in Human Rights and Family Affairs

Tunis: Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Duaij Al-Sabah, and Tunisian Minister of Family, Women, Children and Seniors Asma Jabri have engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing joint cooperation. This dialogue took place in the context of Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah's participation in a high-level Arab regional meeting in Tunis, in preparation for the upcoming Second World Summit for Social Development set to occur in Doha next November.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting on Thursday focused on exchanging expertise and practices in fields concerning women, children, families, and the elderly. The discussions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to address these critical areas.

During her visit, Sheikha Jawaher toured the Center for Research, Studies, Documentation, and Information on Women (CREDIF) to explore the historical journey and struggles of Tunisian women. She also visited the National Observatory on Violence against Women to understand its approach in handling cases involving abused women.

Sheikha Jawaher commended the CREDIF Center for its documentation of Tunisian women's achievements and expressed appreciation for the Women's Observatory's services that aim to protect women from violence.
