Egypt FM Sounds Alarm About Aggravating Circumstances in West Bank

Egypt: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty on Friday cautioned against the serious conditions in the West Bank as a result of Israeli occupation policies.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Abdelatty issued the warning during a phone call with Norwegian counterpart Espen Barth Eid to discuss the latest regional developments. This conversation was mentioned in a press release by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Egyptian ministry commended Norway's support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, as highlighted in the release. Abdelatty briefed his Norwegian counterpart on the ongoing efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S. to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. He also pointed out an international conference hosted by Cairo, aimed at the recovery and rehabilitation of Gaza once a ceasefire is achieved.

Both ministers emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire between Israeli forces and Iran and revitalizing diplomatic efforts to ensure calm and reduce tensions in the region.
