Kuwaiti and Chinese Ministers Discuss Social Protection Cooperation

Kuwait City: Kuwait's Minister of Social Affairs, Family Affairs and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah praised the depth of friendly relations with China in the areas of social protection and family development. Cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of China has been growing over the past 55 years, she noted during her meeting with Huang Xiaowei, a Chinese Minister and Vice Chairperson of the National Working Committee on Children and Women (NWCCW) of the State Council. According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) in New York. Discussions centered around empowering women and promoting social services for families. Dr. Al-Huwailah briefed Huang on Kuwait's social policies aimed at supporting women and children, promoting family stability, achieving social justice, and enhancing societal coherence. Both sides expressed a desire to promote cooperation and exchange experiences in socia l protection, women empowerment, and vocational training.
