Kuwait Welcomes US-Iran Nuclear Deal Agreement in Rome

Kuwait City: Kuwait welcomed the announcement by Oman's Foreign Ministry regarding the agreement reached between the US and Iran during the second round of talks held in Rome aimed to seal a fair, enduring, and binding nuclear deal. The development marks a significant step forward in international diplomatic efforts to address nuclear proliferation concerns.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait announced the launch of the National Strategy for 2025-2028. This initiative aims to enhance preventive measures against human trafficking and the smuggling of immigrants, highlighting Kuwait's commitment to addressing critical human rights issues.

Additionally, Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Sabah engaged in discussions with senior United Nations official Othman Belbeisi. Their deliberations focused on boosting cooperation related to anti-human trafficking efforts, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in tackling this global challenge.

In a separate meeting, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila discussed with the UN Secretary General's Representative and Resident Coordinator in Kuwait, Ambassador Ghada Al-Taher, ways to enhance cooperation. They also explored organizing a specialized conference on social welfare organizations, aiming to strengthen the social safety net in Kuwait.

Meanwhile, in Cairo, Chief of Kuwait's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Rabah Al-Rabah, highlighted the Chamber's intent to actively contribute to vital issues of socioeconomic development in the Arab world. This underscores Kuwait's commitment to fostering economic growth and stability in the region.

In Ramallah, Gaza health authorities reported that at least 44 Palestinians were killed and 145 others were injured in the past 24 hours, reflecting ongoing tensions and highlighting the urgent need for diplomatic interventions to address the humanitarian situation.
