Egaila Substation Explosion Injures Two, Causes Widespread Power Outage

Kuwait City: An explosion at Egaila's main substation has resulted in injuries to two engineers and a power outage throughout the Egaila area. This incident was reported by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in a statement.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the injured engineers were immediately transported to Al-Adan Hospital for treatment. Ministry spokesperson Eng. Fatima Johar Hayat confirmed the swift medical response in a press release.

The Ministry's statement further noted that Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem, along with Undersecretary Dr. Adel Al-Zamel, promptly visited the accident site to inspect the damage and evaluate the situation. Emergency response teams from Kuwait Fire Force and the Ministry of Interior were also present to manage the aftermath and ensure the safety of all personnel involved.

Undersecretary Al-Zamel has initiated the formation of a specialized investigation committee to uncover the causes behind the explosion. The committee is tasked with identifying any faults and taking legal action if necessary.
