Kuwait City: The "illegal" practice of cryptocurrency mining risks threatening the stability of the national power grid, Kuwait's interior ministry warned on Tuesday, saying such activities are prohibited by state laws. Cryptocurrency mines could potentially overtax national power generators and subsequently lead to outages, affecting residential and industrial areas alike.
According to Kuwait News Agency, a ministry statement highlighted that such "unlawful" acts adversely affect the nation's energy infrastructure. The statement went on to warn that all those who fail to abide by state laws and regulations would face firm legal action.
