Kuwait city: Kuwait University (KU) announced plans to host the Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GrandPrix) Regional Championship in April 2026 at Sabah Al-Salem University City, featuring participation from high school and university students. The event is set to showcase innovative approaches to harnessing hydrogen as a clean and renewable energy source.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait University will co-organize the championship with the Public Authority for Youth in collaboration with Al-Sayer Group and the Czech Horizon Educational Company. The initiative aims to offer students the opportunity to develop racing cars powered by hydrogen fuel, promoting educational and technological advancements in sustainable energy.
The event will serve as a platform for students to explore new career paths in clean technology. Winners from the regional championship will advance to the world tournament finals in Switzerland in June 2026. The program, which spans three years, will see participation from ten pioneering schools and universities, contributing to a sustainable future.
