Cairo: Kuwait Society of Lawyers on Wednesday held a seminar on the GCC efforts in the fields of legal, legislative affairs, AI, and digitization, in collaboration with the GCC Secretariat General. The seminar aimed to explore the advancements and collaborative measures being undertaken within the Gulf region to enhance legal frameworks and integrate modern technologies in legislative processes. According to Kuwait News Agency, Justice Abdulmajid Al-Saadi, head of the legislative affairs at the back-up secretariat for legal and legislative affairs, highlighted the significant contributions of the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in establishing the GCC Secretariat General. He emphasized the importance of the Economic treaty signed by the GCC member states in 1981, which serves as the foundation for the ongoing pan-Gulf cooperation. The society's secretary general, Khaled Al-Suwaifan, provided insights into how the session addressed the laws across GCC countries. He noted the role of artificial intel ligence in updating these laws, underscoring the importance of technological integration in legislative reforms. The seminar marked a step forward in reinforcing regional legal collaboration and adapting to the evolving digital landscape.
