Kuwait city: Kuwaiti Minister of Health Ahmad Al-Awadhi announced significant price reductions for 544 drugs and medical products, with cuts reaching up to 78.5 percent.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the decision includes new pricing for 144 drugs and products, setting them at the lowest prices in the Gulf region. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Health's commitment to providing affordable medicines and promoting economic sustainability in the medical care sector.
The price reductions cover a variety of essential medications, including those for cancer, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, asthma, arthritis, as well as skin and colon diseases. The Ministry of Health emphasized that the repricing is part of a national policy aimed at enhancing the economic efficiency of the health sector and ensuring that medication costs remain low for both citizens and residents.
