Kuwait Security Services Seize 145 kg of Hashish, Arrest Culprits

Kuwait city: The Ministry of Interior announced a significant operation on Thursday, revealing that agents from the General Department of Anti-Drug Trafficking successfully dismantled a narcotic trading network and seized 145 kg of hashish. This operation marks a substantial victory in the fight against illegal drugs in the region.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the breakthrough came after surveillance operations focused on a female suspect of Asian nationality. Her activities led authorities to the network, resulting in the seizure and dismantling of the illegal drug cartel. The Ministry's General Directorate of Security Relations and Media released a statement detailing the operation's success.

The female suspect was apprehended under a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution. During questioning, she admitted to the charges of drug trading and her involvement with the cartel. The investigation further revealed that a non-Kuwaiti inmate at the Central Prison was orchestrating the gang's activities. The gang also included another Asian accomplice who remains at large outside Kuwait.

Security services conducted a raid on the prisoner's cell, interrogating him and inspecting his cell phone. The inmate confessed to the charges, and authorities are now proceeding with legal measures as they prepare for the prosecution of the three culprits involved in the drug trafficking network.
