Geneva: Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the UN and International Organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Nasser Al-Hayen, affirmed on Monday that the participation of Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait in reviewing the comprehensive report on human rights before the UN Human Rights Council demonstrates Kuwait's firm commitment to relevant international charters.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Hayen stated that this high-level participation reflects Kuwait's unwavering belief in the role of the council and its essential mechanism in promoting and protecting human rights globally. The review of the report is seen as a fundamental opportunity for Kuwait to assess its national efforts and tangible progress in enhancing human rights according to international standards and its voluntary commitments in this field. Al-Hayen noted Kuwait's collaboration with international organizations acknowledges their pivotal role amid global challenges, particularly in light of critical conditions caused by the war on Gaza and other humanitarian crises that necessitate urgent international coordination.
