Kuwait registers 436 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths

Kuwait’s health ministry said on Wednesday that 436 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, taking the country’s caseload to 624,205, while two more fatalities linked to the virus upped the country’s death toll from the pandemic to 2,548.

Some 885 more people recovered from the virus to raise the number of those to have overcome the disease to 616,394, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that the recovery to positive case ratio stands at 98.7 percent. The number of people hospitalized with the virus is down to 137, 22 of whom need intensive care, added the spokesman, citing some 8,414 swab tests carried out over the past day, out of a total of 7,746,084 so far.
