Kuwait city: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah chaired a ministerial committee meeting at Bayan Palace to review the implementation of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) signed with China. The meeting marked the 19th session of the committee tasked with tracking progress on joint Kuwait-China initiatives, focusing on key projects ranging from the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port and electrical grid upgrades to renewable energy expansion, housing development, and environmental infrastructure such as wastewater treatment and green recycling systems.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs and Rapporteur of the Committee Ambassador Sameeh Johar Hayat provided a detailed briefing on Kuwait-China coordination. The briefing included results from a high-ranking Chinese governmental delegation's visit to discuss the implementation of projects to develop and rehabilitate systems.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Meshari; Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Noora Al-Fassam; Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Sabeeh Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem; Acting Head of the Prime Minister's Diwan Sheikh Khaled Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah; President of the Fatwa and Legislation Department Counselor Salah Al-Majed; and Ambassador Hayat.
