Dubai: The World Governments Summit (WGS) in Dubai is a global platform for exchanging expertise among international leaders, facilitating decision-making that shapes the future of the world and its sustainable development, stated His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Monday. This announcement followed his arrival in the UAE with an accompanying delegation.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the WGS, which convenes amidst the rapid challenges confronting the world, necessitating global governmental cooperation to address and resolve these issues. The summit is viewed as an opportunity to enhance government services, foster collaboration, and improve productivity.
His Highness expressed a strong commitment to reforming government systems to align with the needs of building a digital society, enhancing transparency, improving work environments, and investing in human capital. These initiatives are consistent with the state's sustainable development objectives.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the significant role the WGS plays in strengthening the UAE's position in global government future planning efforts. He expressed gratitude to the Emirati leadership and citizens for their ongoing contributions in this area.
Upon arrival, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah was greeted at the airport by key figures, including Emirati Minister of Health Abdulrahman Al-Owais, Kuwaiti Ambassador to the UAE Jamal Al-Ghunaim, UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Matar Al-Neyadi, and Kuwait General Consul to Dubai and the Northern Emirates Khaled Al-Zaabi, along with other diplomats.
