Kuwait National Guard and French Police Forge Security Collaboration

Kuwait city: The National Guard of Kuwait has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with France's National Gendarmerie to enhance coordination, cooperation, and the exchange of expertise and training in military and security sectors. The MoU was signed by Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai, Undersecretary of the National Guard, and Olivier Gauvin, the Ambassador of France to Kuwait.

According to Kuwait News Agency, prior to the signing of the memorandum, the Chief of the National Guard highlighted the commitment of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to bolster relations with France across multiple fields. The Undersecretary expressed leadership's appreciation, emphasizing the deep historical ties between the two nations.

Present at the signing ceremony were Kuwaiti Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mahdi Al-Ajmi, Major General Dr. Faleh Shujaa, Assistant for Operations and Training at the National Guard, and French military attach© in Kuwait, Colonel Francois Dequis, along with the French security attach© in Qatar, Colonel Jean Monier.
