Kuwait city: Kuwait Municipality on Wednesday announced the launch of an awareness campaign titled "offenses' free camping" ahead of the camping season scheduled to begin on November 15. The campaign aims to ensure compliance with regulations and promote responsible camping practices.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the municipality will start accepting applications for camping plot bookings and issuing permits through its online platform beginning Saturday. The spring camping commission has designated 11 official camping sites for the season, which will run until March 15, 2026.
Camping permits will be available for a fee of KD 50, along with a KD 100 insurance, payable through key net payment. Many residents of Kuwait take advantage of the winter season to set up camps in the desert and other undeveloped areas, seeking leisure and a break from urban life.
