Kuwait Municipal Affairs Minister Engages with Governors to Advance Development Projects


Kuwait city: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdulatif Al-Mishari, held a meeting with the country’s governors to discuss strategic plans and mechanisms aimed at supporting Kuwait’s general policy for implementing developmental projects. The meeting took place at the office of Farwaniya Governorate’s Governor, Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah. The session was attended by key figures, including Al-Asimah Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor and Acting Governor of Hawalli Sheikh Sabah Bader Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and Al-Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.



According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting focused on the detailed review of the “Baladia 139” application, which aims to enhance services and improve administrative and fieldwork efficiency across all governorates. Discussions also explored frameworks for strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and the governorates to ensure effective implementation of development projects.



Minister Al-Mishari acknowledged the significant contributions of the governorates in supporting the Ministry’s fieldwork efforts. He emphasized that the upcoming phase would involve closer coordination and collaboration, leading to tangible achievements. The governors expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from the political leadership and the government, which aids in enhancing their roles in serving Kuwait. They also commended Minister Al-Mishari for his ongoing cooperation in advancing key development projects across the six governorates.



The meeting was also attended by Director General of Kuwait Municipality Manal Al-Asfour, along with several senior municipal officials.
