Kuwait Marks Historical Achievements in Education, Maritime, and Sports

Kuwait city: Today in Kuwait's history, several notable events have been highlighted, marking achievements in education, maritime operations, and sports. Cleric Abdulrahman Al-Faris has passed away at the age of 71, leaving a legacy behind.

According to Kuwait News Agency, in 2010, Kuwait's Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah signed a decree to establish the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance. This Bureau, under the supervision of the Minister of Higher Education, was aimed at promoting the standards of higher education institutions in the country.

In 2016, the Kuwait Oil Tankers Company (KOTC) was recognized for its excellence in maritime operations. The company won Maritime Standard's award for the best oil tankers operator in the Middle East and Indian Sub-continent, highlighting its operational success and industry leadership.

In 2021, Kuwaiti swimmer Lara Dashti made history by winning a gold medal in the Arab swimming championship held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This achievement marked the first gold medal in the history of Kuwaiti female participation in such competitions, setting a significant milestone for women in sports in Kuwait.
