Kuwait Joins Prestigious International Medical Regulatory Body


Kuwait city: The Medical Liability Authority has announced Kuwait’s accession to the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA), signifying the country’s commitment to enhancing its global presence in medical regulation in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.



According to Kuwait News Agency, Authority President Dr. Salman Al-Sabah stated that this membership is a culmination of Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international standing in medical governance and actively contribute to global health regulation policies.



Dr. Al-Sabah highlighted the objective of exchanging expertise with leading global entities, adopting initiatives to improve regulatory practices, safeguard patient rights, protect healthcare professionals, and ensure a positive impact on the quality of healthcare services.



He further affirmed Kuwait’s commitment to transforming international expertise into practical policies that benefit the local health system. This marks the beginning of a new stage of long-term cooperation with the global community to develop legislation and strengthen Kuwait’s influence.



IAMRA, established in 2000, is a prominent global body specializing in medical governance. With Kuwait’s accession, the organization now comprises 46 member states, making it a key platform for sharing expertise and shaping international healthcare policies.
