Kuwait Joins IAEA and Marks Milestones in Education and Diplomacy

Kuwait city: 1964 marked a significant step for Kuwait as it joined the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This move signified Kuwait's commitment to international cooperation in the field of atomic energy, aligning with global efforts in peaceful nuclear collaboration.

According to Kuwait News Agency, in 2014, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah made a historic visit to Ramallah, Palestine. This visit was the first by a senior Kuwaiti official since 1967, highlighting Kuwaiti efforts in strengthening diplomatic ties and supporting Palestinian relations.

In 2021, Kuwait University approved the resumption of on-campus learning for the academic year 2021-2022. This decision was made in line with health regulations and was part of the country's strategy to counter the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that education continued effectively while prioritizing the health and safety of students and staff.
