KUNA Media Development Center Unveils “News Editing” Program

Kuwait city: The KUNA Center for Media Development has launched its "News Editing" program, featuring participants from the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Qatar News Agency (QNA), the GCC General Secretariat, Kuwait's Insurance Regulatory Unit, and the Kuwait Ports Authority.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the program, which is presented by Dr. Abdullah Al-Harbi from the Arab Open University, continues until September 18. It addresses essential topics such as the fundamentals of news writing, editorial skills, journalistic ethics, and digital journalism.

The course is designed to integrate both theoretical and practical elements, with a focus on writing techniques, editing, headline writing, fact-checking, and identifying fake news.

The KUNA Center for Media Development, established in December 1995, is recognized as one of Kuwait's leading media training institutions. It has organized numerous training programs in various media fields, with the aim of enhancing the personal and professional skills of media professionals and contributing to the advancement of journalism in Kuwait.
