Kuwait City: Internet services in Kuwait are currently affected by a cut in global cables that link the country with international internet outlets, said the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA). This disruption has impacted connectivity, causing inconvenience for residents and businesses relying on stable internet access.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the interruption is being addressed by relevant authorities who are working to restore services as swiftly as possible. The global cable cut highlights the vulnerability of international communication infrastructure and its effects on local networks.
In other developments, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah has reaffirmed Decree Law (158/2024), which amends Article 16 of Amiri Decree (15/1959) concerning Kuwaiti citizenship law.
