Washington: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah reaffirmed the deep historical and strategic relations that bond Kuwait with the United States. This took place during his meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem, which was also attended by Kuwait's Ambassador to the United States, Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions centered on bilateral cooperation across various sectors and ways to enhance joint coordination for mutual benefit. Sheikh Fahad emphasized Kuwait's commitment to continuing coordination and exchange visits, while also seeking to benefit from US expertise, particularly in the security and diplomatic fields, to strengthen national institutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to ongoing cooperation and highlighted the robust nature of their bilateral relations. The statement noted that Sheikh Fahad arrived in Washington yesterday on an official visit.
