Cairo: Minister of Information, Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi called on Wednesday for unified efforts and stronger partnerships to develop a responsible Arab media discourse capable of keeping pace with rapid changes. This call was made during his speech at the 55th session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

Minister Al-Mutairi reiterated Kuwait's unwavering support for the Palestinian people, advocating for their legitimate rights and the establishment of an independent state along the June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in alignment with UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
He outlined that the session's agenda includes significant topics, particularly the Arab media strategy for media and information literacy. The strategy aims to cultivate an informed generation capable of critically engaging with media content, reinforcing identity, and supporting development. Minister Al-Mutairi also conveyed the greetings of Kuwait's political leadership to the ministers of information, expressing their wishes for the success of the meeting.
