Kuwait Informatics Award Launches “Shft Al-Kuwait” 10th Edition with Sadu House

Kuwait City: The Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award has launched the 10th edition of its cultural competition "Shft Al-Kuwait" in collaboration with Sadu House, as part of its silver jubilee celebration. The competition, whose name translates to "Did You See Kuwait?", is known for its engaging format and widespread participation.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Award, Bassam Al-Shammari, stated that this year's edition features daily questions for ten days, posted on Instagram and Facebook accounts of both the Award and Sadu House. The competition has attracted thousands of participants from Kuwait and abroad.

Participants are required to answer six questions focused on the traditional Sadu weaving craft. Those who respond correctly will enter a draw, with a total of USD 50,000 in prizes to be awarded to 50 winners, each receiving USD 1,000.

Competition supervisor Sheikh Salem Athbi Al-Sabah highlighted the significance of the partnership between the Informatics Award and Sadu House. He noted that the collaboration represents an integration of culture and technology, aiming to engage younger generations with Kuwait's cultural heritage through an interactive format.

Sheikh Salem emphasized that the initiative reflects Kuwait's robust network of cultural institutions working together to launch national initiatives. These efforts aim to enhance Kuwait's standing regionally and globally, with plans for further cooperation on projects supporting digital culture and heritage.

Launched in 2010, the "Shft Al-Kuwait" competition has utilized social media to deliver cultural content and incentives, maintaining its mission to spread knowledge and awareness of Kuwait's rich heritage.
