Kuwait Hosts GCC Security Media Departments’ 19th Meeting

Kuwait City: The State of Kuwait hosted the 19th meeting of the GCC security media departments on Thursday, aiming to enhance cooperation among the attendees.

According to Kuwait News Agency, the Interior Ministry released a statement indicating that the meeting was led by Brigadier Nasser Abu Sulaib, Director General of Public Relations and Security Media. Brigadier Abu Sulaib highlighted the crucial role of security media in maintaining the stability of countries during his opening remarks.

He emphasized that the integration and cooperation among security departments are key to combating crime, holding offenders accountable, and enhancing safety for all. He also welcomed the GCC attendees and expressed appreciation for their willingness to explore avenues of cooperation.

The meeting's agenda includes discussions on a unified security campaign and addresses significant issues such as countering rumors and misinformation. It also seeks to explore various tools to convey security messages to the public through both digital and traditional media platforms.
