Kuwait: The State of Kuwait hosted the 175th meeting of the executive office of the Arab Energy Organization (AEO) on Friday. This meeting served as a prelude to the 115th ministerial meeting scheduled for Sunday.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the meeting was chaired by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil Undersecretary Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahad Al-Sabah, who represented the State of Kuwait at the bureau. Currently, Kuwait holds the position of chair for the office meetings.
The organization, formerly known as the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), released a statement highlighting the key topics discussed during the meeting. These included the projected budget for 2026, the restructuring plan for the AEO, and several other bureaucratic matters.
The meeting participants expressed appreciation for the State of Kuwait Government's efforts in addressing challenges that could impede the achievement of established goals. Sheikh Dr. Nimr emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination among member states and strengthening the organization's role amidst ongoing changes in the regional and international energy sectors.
