Kuwait Hockey Team Prepares in UAE for World Cup IV

Al-Ain: President of Kuwait Winter Games Club Fehaid Al-Ajmi announced that the Kuwaiti national hockey team is well-prepared for the upcoming World Cup IV, scheduled to take place in Armenia from April 13-19. According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Ajmi stated that up to six teams from different countries will participate in the international games organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The Kuwaiti team is currently training in Al-Ain, UAE, in anticipation of the world tournament. Al-Ajmi emphasized the team's enthusiasm and readiness, noting that the winner of the competition will advance to the III classification in the next edition of the world tournament. The Kuwaiti team recently played a friendly match against the UAE champion team, Theebs, which ended in a 5-5 draw. Al-Ajmi mentioned that the team, known as the "blue team," will face two other UAE teams in upcoming matches before concluding their training camp on April 11. The team is scheduled to fly to Armenia to begin the competition, starting with a match against Uzbekistan, followed by games against Indonesia, Armenia, Malaysia, and Iran. Al-Ajmi praised the players for their performance during preparations and acknowledged the support from the Minister of Information, Culture, and the Minister of State Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, as well as the Public Authority for Sports. He also expressed gratitude for the reception and facilities provided by the UAE Hockey Association for the training camp.
