Kuwait City: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadi has mandated the submission of 23 medical institutions to the medical responsibility apparatus due to irregularities in advertising and practices. These institutions, comprised of hospitals, medical centers, clinics, and laboratories, have been reported by inspection teams for violations related to medical advertisements.
According to Kuwait News Agency, some of these advertisements contain content that contradicts professional principles and leans towards a commercial rather than a professional nature. The irregularities identified encompass medical practices that breach Law 70/2020, which governs medicine and auxiliary professions, as well as patients' rights.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that the strict adherence to regulations is vital to maintain the integrity of medical practices. This move underscores the ministry's commitment to upholding high standards in the healthcare sector and ensuring that all medical entities operate within the legal framework established for the protection of patients and the profession.
