Hadhramaut: Yemen's Minister of Education Tareq Al-Abkari has inaugurated the late Abdulrahman Al-Aujan Primary School in the Governorate of Hadhramaut. The project was implemented by the Response Foundation for Humanitarian Work and supervised by the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity Society as part of a Kuwaiti campaign, which has been ongoing for a decade.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Abkari, speaking at the inauguration ceremony, emphasized that the Al-Aujan School project represents a significant achievement in advancing education in Yemen and improving the learning environment. He expressed deep appreciation to Kuwait's leadership, government, and people for their support and contributions to Yemen. He praised Kuwait's continued assistance to the education sector through impactful, long-term projects that have significantly improved the quality of education in the region.
Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate for the Affairs of the Valley and Desert Directorates, Amer Al-Amiri, expressed gratitude to Kuwait and the family of the late Abdulrahman Al-Aujan for funding the construction of this school under the supervision of the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity. He stated that this school would serve as a major addition to the educational infrastructure in Wadi Hadhramaut, contributing significantly to the improvement of education in the region and enhancing its facilities and outcomes.
The school spans an area of 2,138 square meters and features a two-story building with 12 fully furnished classrooms. It also includes an air-conditioned computer lab equipped with an interactive smart board, a multimedia room, a fully equipped science laboratory, and a solar energy system with a capacity of 36 kilowatts.
