Kuwait City: Kuwait's Coast Guard police forces have foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of illegal drugs into the country through the territorial water, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement Sunday. It pointed out that three Iranian drug smugglers were arrested in the operation. According to Kuwait News Agency, the seized drugs include 125 kilograms of hashish, nine hashish sticks, eight Lyrica strips, and five bags of pills. The Ministry estimated the market value of these drugs at nearly half a million Kuwaiti dinars. The arrestees and the seized items have been referred to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal action against them, the statement concluded.
