According to Kuwait News Agency, the match was part of the second round of Group C and took place at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium. The game saw Muhannad Mahmoud score for Jordan in the 17th minute with a kick outside the penalty zone, concluding the first half with Jordan leading. At the start of the second half, Saad Al-Rosan extended Jordan's lead with a second goal. In the 84th minute, Kuwaiti player Yusuf Nasser managed to narrow the gap with a goal for Kuwait.
In the final moments of the match, Jordan secured their victory with a third goal through a penalty kick. Following this result, Kuwait retains its third rank in the group with a single point, while Jordan tops the group with six points, securing their qualification for the 8th round.
Kuwait is set to play against the UAE in the group's final match on Tuesday, while Egypt will face Jordan.
