Kuwait Envoy Applauds Jordan as “Beacon” of Arab Culture and Art

Kuwait city: Kuwait's ambassador to Jordan, Hamad Al-Meri, expressed high regard for Jordan, describing it as a "beacon" of Arab culture and arts. He emphasized that the relationship between Kuwait and Jordan is on a positive trajectory, particularly in cultural exchanges.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Meri made these remarks during a press briefing after attending the launch of a 10-day international book fair in Amman. The event features participation from Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), highlighting the progress in bilateral cultural relations.

The ambassador noted an increase in cultural cooperation between Jordan and Gulf Arab states. He mentioned that numerous joint initiatives and programs are in development as part of a strategic partnership between the Hashemite Kingdom and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

NCCAL's Acting Assistant Secretary General for Antiquities and Museums, Mohammad bin Redha, stated that Kuwait's pavilion at the book fair showcases a variety of publications representing its cultural presence on the global stage. He praised the book fair as a platform for Arab cultural exchange.

Organizers of the book fair have been commended for their efforts, which are seen as crucial in portraying the significance of Arab culture accurately.
