Kuwait city: Kuwait, represented by its bureau of financial controllers (FCB), took part in a United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) meeting focused on sustainable development and economic governance plans. Kuwait's involvement underscores its commitment to support global efforts promoting transparency and financial accountability.
According to Kuwait News Agency, FCB President Nada Al-Sahli emphasized Kuwait's dedication to enhancing the public sector's financial oversight to support sustainable development objectives. She highlighted FCB's "comprehensive approach" to financial control, which combines principles of good governance and sustainability to establish efficient financial systems.
Al-Sahli noted Kuwait's intention to share its experience in advancing financial oversight practices while drawing on international expertise. This approach aims to strengthen cooperation with global organizations in developing oversight mechanisms.
She further stressed the importance of fostering collaboration with relevant bodies to construct an effective regulatory system that aligns with Kuwait's long-term development vision.
