Abu dhabi: Kuwait's Embassy in UAE hosted a celebration marking Kuwait's 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day, attended by UAE officials, diplomats, and Kuwaiti community representatives, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait's Ambassador to the UAE Jamal Al-Ghunaim extended congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti people. Al-Ghunaim highlighted that the national holidays reflect the unity of Kuwaitis behind their leadership and recall Kuwait's development and achievements since its founding.
Liberation Day remains a symbol of Kuwait's determination and the sacrifices made to defend its security, stability, and sovereignty, he said. He described Kuwait-UAE relations as a model of strong fraternal ties, noting continued growth in cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and social fields.
Al-Ghunaim also expressed Kuwait's appreciation to the UAE leadership for its support in strengthening bilateral relations and commended the "Brothers Forever" week celebrating Kuwaiti-UAE ties. He emphasized that the embassy prioritizes holding such events to strengthen national identity among Kuwaitis in the UAE and reinforce cooperation with official and community institutions.
The celebration was attended by senior UAE officials, including Minister of Federal Supreme Council Affairs Abdullah bin Muhair Al-Ketbi, Minister of Culture Sheikh Salem Al-Qassimi, Minister of State Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al-Nahyan, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Dr. Sultan Al-Neyadi, and Ali bin Al-Sayed Abdulrahman Al-Hashemi, advisor for religious and judicial affairs at the Presidential Court, along with sheikhs, senior officials, and diplomatic and consular representatives.
The event concluded in a festive atmosphere with national and heritage segments reflecting the close ties between both sides.
