Kuwait city: The embassies of Kuwait in Brunei, Singapore, and Thailand, along with the Consulate General in Guangzhou, marked Kuwait's 65th National Day and the 35th anniversary of Liberation Day through various celebratory events.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the celebrations were graced by senior officials, heads and members of the diplomatic community, journalists, and notable public figures. In Brunei, the Kuwaiti Embassy held a ceremony with Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, Sufian Sabtu, as the guest of honor, representing the Sultan's government. Charge d'Affaires ad interim Abdullah Al-Obaid extended his congratulations to Kuwaiti leadership and wished for the country's continued prosperity.
In Singapore, the Kuwaiti Embassy's event was attended by senior officials and business leaders, with Ambassador Ahmad Al-Shuraim highlighting the strong diplomatic relations between Kuwait and Singapore. He emphasized the growing cooperation in economic, trade, and political sectors over the past four decades.
Thailand's celebration saw participation from senior Thai officials and Kuwaiti citizens, with Acting Charge d'Affaires Abdulmohsen Al-Fares expressing best wishes to Kuwaiti leadership. The event underscored the robust bilateral relations between the two nations.
In Guangzhou, Consul General Abdullah Al-Turki acknowledged the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations with China. He praised the bilateral progress in various sectors and noted China's visa-free entry for Kuwaiti citizens, which has enhanced travel and trade exchanges. Vice Chairman Ye Zhenqin also extended congratulations, highlighting the strategic partnership between China and Kuwait, further strengthened by substantial trade volumes and cooperation agreements.
